Please see the Training Versus Behaviour Blog for a full explanation of the differences between training and behaviour. Simply put, Behaviour is modifying or removing a problem behaviour.

Behaviour work is only sold in a package because helping a dog get over a problem is an ongoing task and clients will need follows-up, to ensure the treatment plan is being implemented accurately and the tasks can be progressed.

The things I regularly help clients with include stranger aggression, visitor aggression, dog aggression, lead reactivity, phobias, chasing wildlife and livestock, boredom, hyperactivity, hypervigilance, fear of going out, constant barking, handling issues, fear of the vet, fear of the car, resource guarding, separation anxiety, other forms of anxiety that appear to be separation anxiety, post medical home enrichment and lots more.

1-2-1 Training

1-2-1 Behaviour

Please see the Training Versus Behaviour Blog for a full explanation of the differences between training and behaviour. Simply put, training includes puppy training and the training of new behaviours in adult dogs where the dog does not have any major problems.

If you are looking for training you have 4 main options.

1. A puppy development package which is three sessions in your home, to get you ahead of the game. This suits puppies with first-time owners, people that have had dogs before but want to get the latest information and methods and people who are keen to develop their puppy properly from day one, to minimise the chances of behavioural issues later on. Please see Puppy Development plan page.

2. A training package. The training package is structured similarly to the puppy development package, as three sessions on a one-to-one basis in your own home. This suits anyone with an adolescent or adult dog who wants to do some training,  further their dog's skills and anyone who wants to train their dog a new specific behaviour that their dog is unable to do at present. This includes the loose lead walking and recall package.

3. A one-off training session. This would suit anyone with a small training requirement and can be effective in some cases although the ongoing support of a three session package tends to get better results.

4. Training classes (not 1-2-1). This suits anyone who has been on my puppy development plan and wants to further their knowledge in a class environment. It is not compulsory to have been on my puppy development plan to be enrolled on my training classes, but it certainly would help. Please see the Training Class page.
